This type of concrete is designed based on the specified 28 day strength as well as the degree of workability desired for different placing methods. The constituents of the mix are determined and varied according to the water to cement ratio. The workability as well as the working time of concrete is enhanced by the addition of water reducing and retarding admixture that complies with ASTM C 494 Standard.
